BOOK OF THE MONTH

Set on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, this romance novel is narrated by Alexander Cendese and Mia Hutchinson-Shaw. Aspen is struggling to write a book that will match the success of her first novel, and Brick Babel is trying to save his grandfather's tour business. Aspen hires Brick to date her and then break her heart to give her inspiration for her new novel. Hutchinson-Shaw believably depicts Aspen's writer's block and successfully performs both the female and male voices. While Cendese does a great job with the male voices, he sounds a bit nasally with the female ones.
