GONE SOUTH

This Robert McCammon tale, which deals with misfits of all kinds, is a "a bizarre collision of time and circumstance." Bounty hunters (refugees from a freak show) chase a Vietnam veteran through the swamps of the bayou. At first, Will Patton's reading is belabored; he stresses every word in a slow monotone. But as the story develops, the actor shows great skill in moving from one accent to another. His performance is funny, exciting and wise. The entire treatment is entertaining and first-rate.
