Will Damron brings alive FBI Agent Gardner Camden and the rest of the elite team of unconventional agents in the Patterns & Recognition Unit. They must race against time to hunt down a serial killer who is targeting other serial killers. Damron's strong narration creates a group of likable and believable characters. In particular, he draws out the thoroughly analytical Gardner's awareness of his unique personality traits and the challenges he faces when interacting with others. Damron's strong characterization of the killer infuses additional tension into the story.
