Narrators Andi Arndt and Sebastian York mesmerize listeners in this small-town suspenseful romance. Ridley Sawyer is a true-crime podcaster who is traveling across the country solving cold cases. She's also hoping to solve the mystery of what happened to her sister, who disappeared years earlier. Sheriff Colter Brooks doesn't like people snooping around his town, stirring up trouble, but there's something different about Ridley. Arndt's soft, melodic voice eloquently conveys Ridley's persistence, drive, and passion. York's nuanced performance captures Colter's grumpy, guarded exterior and adds some vulnerability beneath his guarded layers. Both narrators create a slow-burning tension between Ridley and Colter.
