THE ICE DRAGON

Adara is a winter child. She was born during a great freeze and loves the ice and cold. Different from the other children and indifferent to her family, she is happy alone. All that matters is her growing friendship with the Ice Dragon, a creature everyone else fears. But in her seventh year, she must choose between the ice dragon and the family that loves her. Maggi-Meg Reed's narration embodies the story-her voice is smooth and controlled, not quite emotionless, but imperial and reserved, and the effect is, in fact, chilling.
