THE HEAD ON THE HIGH ROAD

The eighteen stories included in this collection vary in length from four minutes to twenty. They were originally published in Scary Stories & Ghost Stories from the Southwest. The stories have an eerie, haunting quality but shouldn't keep youngsters up at night. "It Has No Face" is effectively told and might be a candidatefor dramatization if The Twilight Zone is ever revived. The Youngs' experienced storytelling voices effectively contrast with one another: hers clear and strong, his resonant and smooth.
