Can love survive in the bicoastal marriage of Meredith, a prestigious Wall Street banker, and Steve, a gifted ER physician? Brewer draws the listener into the story as passions and tempers rise and fall like the tide, voicing mounting jealousy and frustration as time and distance continue to separate the lovers. Brewer's voice changes with the roles, from petulant to childish to furious, and on occasion is filled with love and longing. He depicts each character with believable passion, expressing vulnerability, betrayal, guilt and resolution with husky, sad vocal tones that carry the listener into the story.
