Narrator Mel Foster keeps listeners on edge with the latest adventure of Private Eye Elvis Cole and his partner, Joe Pike. This time Cole is hired to find a big-time Hollywood producer's ex-wife and son. It seems the producer, who has not seen his wife and child for more than a decade, has now decided he wants them both back. As the action moves from California to Connecticut to Manhattan, Cole encounters big trouble with a Mafia chieftain and his cohorts. Foster delivers a clear and precise reading. Occasionally, his performance is a bit wooden, but when the action picks up, he does also. He's at his best when portraying a comical New York City apartment manager, accent and all.
