Apollo 13 and its crew narrowly escaped disaster in the attempt to return to Earth from the moon. Jim Lovell adds realism to this account with his unpolished, yet captivating, narrative of the grueling mission. Edward Hermann is articulate throughout the story. The narrative is quite technical, covering NASA's solutions to the many problems of Apollo 13, as well as the spacecraft itself, space travel and high-tech dialogue.
