MORSE'S GREATEST MYSTERY AND OTHER STORIES

Here are 11 mysteries, 6 featuring Inspector Morse and Lewis, his baffled sidekick, of Oxford, England. The others offer similar surroundings except for a rewrite of a Sherlock Holmes story. Colin Dexter's British police procedurals are read entertainingly by Patrick Tull, who gives a querulous, rasping wisdom to the characters. Tull reads in his usual pointed, irascible style well suited to this series. His British accents and curmudgeonly approach are wonderfully satisfying.
