Lieutenant Esme Suiza has survived childhood abuse and being on the wrong side of a mutiny. Now, enemies of the human race are staging a violent takeover on the huge spaceship on which she lives. The worst situations seem to bring out the best in Suiza. She rises to the occasion, fighting off the aliens with her wits and amazing tactical skills. In the action scenes, the tension in the actors’ voices, the fast-paced music, and the sound effects all do a bang-up job of giving the illusion of listening to a movie. But when Moon takes time for exposition or political intrigue, the experience is not as rich or interesting. Fortunately, this title is big on action.
