THE NIXON TAPES

by | Read by Richard Nixon et al.

History • 5 hrs. • Abridged • ©

This audiobook has a good introduction that is well read, and the introductions to specific sections are also good. The main body of the book consists of excerpts from the famous White House tapes that Nixon tried so hard to keep from the public, both during and after his presidency. The conversations are historically important but are very hard to hear. It is too hard to hear for the casual listener. It would have been better if the publisher had gotten actors to re-present these conversations as others have done with Nixon-related material.
