BURN ME DEADLY

In this brew of fantasy and hard-boiled detective novel, Eddie LaCrosse, "a freelance sword jockey," meets a blonde on the road and finds himself involved in a mystery involving a gangster, royals, and a dragon-worshipping cult. Narrator Stefan Rudnicki hooks listeners from the start, piquing interest even before the story's direction becomes evident. His deep voice gives LaCrosse's first-person tough-guy account an authentic pulp edge, bringing in realistic emotion for the human toll of the case and making the genre-crossing irresistible. Rudnicki is also good at voicing supporting characters. This is a story listeners HAVE to hear—reading print just won't be the same. J.A.S.
