Physical disabilities make up only part of the real person, as private investigator Nicholas Dismas learns while trying to trace a client's lost child. The P.I., himself severely disfigured since birth, finds startling answers, and many new questions, as well as the peace that has eluded him. Ric Jerrom breathes life into every character and narrative passage, even the inarticulate creatures of the story's darkest moments. Brilliantly sound-engineered, the production even captures Jerrom's panting after the story has Dismas running for his life. As the plot takes unexpected twists, so does the performance. Jerrom remains enthusiastically involved in the story, right through the shocking revelation at the end. R.P.L.
