The conclusion to the Dairy Queen trilogy is read by Natalie Moore. She skillfully depicts teenage athlete D.J. Schwenk, who is back at school just in time for basketball season. Now she faces the daunting tasks of finding her own voice and winning over the right college scout, all while trying to figure out her family and her love life. Moore uses the perfect Wisconsin twang and teenage enthusiasm for her performance of D.J.. The only weak spot in her narration is the male dialogue, which fails to sound credible, especially when she attempts a deeper vocal range. However, this weakness doesn't reduce the overall listening experience, which is great fun. K.O. © AudioFile 2010, Portland, Maine [Published: AUGUST 2010]
