Demons are rising, and evil is loose in the city. The D'Artigo sisters (two half-Faeire, the other half-vampire) are intent on identifying who is torturing and killing women. Cassandra Campbell’s narration demonstrates an affinity for the sisters, particularly Menolly, who is the main character and narrative voice for this story. Campbell brings out Menolly’s humor and toughness—she does not suffer fools gladly. Campbell also delivers the graphic language and sexual content matter-of-factly. Prior experience with the series is recommended as it would provide context for the sisters’ role as agents for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency.
