After an introduction by Alan Duma, Betsy Geddes takes the listener through 13 steps for raising responsible children. Her emphatic manner makes the listener feel as if she's offering a private consultation. References to her own experiences as a mother, grandmother and school principal enhance the personal nature of the presentation. Geddes occasionally speaks too quickly, requiring the listener to replay the tape. The intermittent comments by Duma sometimes seem to interrupt though they add to the casual tone.
