L. A. Theatre Works presents another rich radio drama (or, in this case, comedy) with this Broadway hit about family angst and love as three sisters from Brooklyn meet up in London for a birthday party. The LATW standard of audio quality is wonderfully exemplified again in this vibrant cast. (Jamie Lee Curtis, a veteran of Wasserstein's plays, is particularly engaging.) Top-notch sound effects bring listeners into a virtual theater, and the talent and skill of the actors infuse life into this poignant, witty production.
