SPIRITUAL LITERACY: READING THE SACRED IN EVERYDAY LIFE

A refreshing and welcome addition to spiritual literature, SPIRITUAL LITERACY is not the customary collection of excerpts from the world's great religious texts, but rather a collection of writings about spirit in everyday life. Authors Frederic and Mary Ann Brussat selected pieces from essayists, poets, social activists, naturalists and novelists. The Brussats' compilation forms a new primer for spiritual literacy. Many of the writers whose works are included find the truly transcendental in the seemingly commonplace.
