IS THAT THING DIESEL?

Paul Carter is a raconteur of the first order and an engaging writer to boot. So who better to read his work? He has a way of making almost anything funny—from the mundane act of buying baby furniture to the dramatic story of his house catching fire as he prepares for an appearance at a book fair and the unusual experience of riding around Australia on a motorcycle powered by used cooking oil. His reading is fast paced, but that's how he talks. There’s occasional coarse language, but, again, that's how he talks. Overall, the book is fun to listen to with Carter at the mike.
