As this novel seeks to find the one answer that will save humanity, it offers a combination of storytelling, history lessons, and life teachings. Andy Andrews reads his own work with the passion of one who has struggled with the very questions that the main character, David Ponder, confronts. Andrews offers varying voices for the many men and women of history who are involved in the quest. Excitement and dread are felt, as are joy and sadness, as each possible answer is put forth.
