THE CASE OF THE GYPSY GOOD-BYE

Master storyteller Katherine Kellgren does not disappoint; neither does this fifth Enola Holmes mystery. Enola, who is almost 15, sets herself to finding a missing lady, the Duquessa Blanchefleur, who disappeared in London’s Underground. All the while, Enola must avoid her famous brother, Sherlock, and their older brother, Mycroft, if she is to retain her independence. From the booming voice of a scavenger in the Underground to the simpering tones of a lady-in-waiting, Kellgren’s smorgasbord of effusive characterizations are as well done as they are entertaining.
