BINK & GOLLIE

Friendship is a warm but, at times, prickly thing for neighbors Bink and Gollie. One loves brightly colored socks and speed (roller skating is her specialty); one loves exploring (spin the globe and point to an imaginary expedition destination) and pancake making. How they work out their friendship is one of the endearing aspects of their story, and “compromise” one of the key words. The dual narration of Kate Micucci and Riki Lindhome is a boon as each narrator embraces the personality of her character. Bink’s spunk and enthusiasm come through in a high-pitched and fast-paced voice. Gollie’s exasperation and resolve come through in drawn-out phrasing and punched-out words.
