UNCOVERING CLINTON A Reporter's Story

Michael Isikoff (reporter for THE WASHINGTON POST and NEWSWEEK) could be accused of trying to ease his conscience in writing UNCOVERING CLINTON, a book that revisits the tumultuous Clinton-Lewinsky affair that stunned and reviled the U.S. for nearly two years. Isikoff admits that he realized he was part of "a plot to get the President" but also that he could not pretend he had anything but distrust for the President and his staff that at times became personal. Isikoff does a commendable job reading his own treatise. While striking an apologist tone, he seizes every opportunity to bring attention to his own scoops and even some of the ones his editors let get away.
