Baseball and bigotry take the field in this outstanding recording of Salisbury's fine YA novel of the aftermath of the bombing of Pearl Harbor for one Japanese-American family. The compelling story of the multicultural community in pre-WWII Hawaii is rendered more vivid, thanks to the superb narration of Jeff Woodman. His ability to enable the reader to distinguish among Japanese, Portuguese and Hawaiian characters adds further dimension to the narrative.
