Following the narrative path of this audiobook is sometimes as difficult as following the paths of the data zooming through the Internet. Perhaps a professional narrator might enhance the material, but it's possible that even the best reader would struggle through this acronym-laden production. It’s a valiant, well-researched effort that at moments lifts off—for example, when describing DE-CIX, the Internet’s massive dynamo, or talking about the people who keep the network connections greased (who are known as “peering sluts”).
