Those who follow the author’s columns or Web site, or those with conservative views, will find much to agree with in this audiobook. Liberal listeners will find much to criticize. Regardless of one’s political bent, Erik Bergmann’s superb narration carries this polemic through the litany of concerns raised by the author. Prager expounds upon his concept of the trinity of American values—E pluribus unum, in God we trust, and liberty—and his belief that the United States needs to return to those values and share them with the world. Bergmann’s variations in tone, as well as his cadence and gravitas, complement the author’s innumerable points on the failures of leftism and Islamism, eloquently detailing the author’s thesis in a somber and distinct manner.
