Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Or in Andrea Nash's case, like a half-hyena, half-woman. Andrea reluctantly collaborates with her ex-boyfriend, pack leader Rafael, on a murder investigation that quickly goes south when power hungry deities threaten an apocalypse. Renee Raudman's narration finely balances the humor and drama of the story. Her sense of the ridiculous emerges full force as she delivers Andrea's relationship frustrations with gusto. Raudman's quirky sense of humor builds as the story develops, countering the serious nature of the murder investigation. Raudman serves up dialogue as well as Andrea's mental asides with equal freshness. Her delivery always seems just right. Secondary characters also have unique voices that are memorable and well defined. Raudman's arch naïveté will suit listeners who enjoy heroines full of moxie.
