WUTHERING HEIGHTS

This audiobook offers a good introduction to Brontë's romantic tale of the tormented relationship between Heathcliff and Cathy, two of the best known protagonists in nineteenth-century literature. Page and Merlington, alternating as readers, give a smooth, thoughtful reading, evoking moods through tone and pacing. All in all, the production is successful in interpreting the complex narrative structure of the novel and evoking the spirit of the Yorkshire moors.
