Performance-enhancing drugs and perjury took Marion Jones from the Olympic track to the prison yard. Jones narrates her own story capably, making the complex legal explanations understandable. However, she could have put a bit more drama into her reading as her story contains a lot of heartfelt accounts of running in a prison yard and the countless indignities of incarceration. This is not a full biography; it concentrates on Jones’s prison term and her life afterward, including her time with the WNBA. Even so, it should satisfy anyone who wants to know how Jones's prison term changed her life. J.A.S. © AudioFile 2012, Portland, Maine [Published: OCTOBER 2012]
