Although the title refers to his wife, this book could easily be describing Anne Meara's point of view. Jerry Stiller narrates this warm, funny (would you expect anything less?), abridged version of his life experiences in show business, and does so with gusto. He charges into the book right from the start, regaling us with stories from his Brooklyn upbringing, and continues on to Syracuse University, regional theater, and his final triumphs with Anne on a national stage. Stiller is always amusing and easy to follow, and his stories are a veritable entertainment-industry history lesson. The only problem is that this is not the complete version of the book. But we'll make do with what we have. R.I.G. © AudioFile 2001, Portland, Maine [Published: APR/MAY 01]
