In a postapocalyptic world of religious fundamentalists, Noelle Cunningham has been banished from her hallowed home for the twin sins of consuming alcohol and having sex. Lucy Malone vocalizes Noelle's confusion and empowerment with compassion and dignity. Her presentation of the book's graphic sexual scenes conveys excitement, surprise, anticipation, and fulfillment without reservation. Malone offers credible portrayals of the various characters without fully differentiating them. The listener looking for strong erotica and a decent plot will not be disappointed.
