Kaleo Griffith pulls listeners into the lives of Kat, a Navajo journalist who lives in Denver, and Gabe, the park ranger who comes to her rescue on more than one occasion. As the story progresses, Gabe realizes the accidents and harassment Kat is dealing with are more sinister than they appear. Griffith's portrayals of the Navajo elders are so well done that one wishes there were more of their dialogue for him to read. His delivery of their Navajo accent is beautiful and fully credible. This enjoyable listen has one rooting for the hero and heroine the whole time. S.M. © AudioFile 2013, Portland, Maine [Published: FEBRUARY 2013]
