NERVES OF STEEL

A Pittsburgh ER doctor discovers that a new street drug that is killing young people was taken from her hospital. With a mix of mystery and romance, narrator Piter Marek spins the story of Dr. Cassandra Hart as she tries to do the right thing and finds herself mired in politics and murder. She and the new love of her life, renegade detective Mickey Drake, must track down the killers before their careers are ruined. Author C.J. Lyons is an ER physician herself, and her familiarity with that world shows. Marek's smooth style sweeps the listener into the maelstrom of events that brings the heroes closer to death.
