BIRTHRIGHT The Book of Man

Tom Weiner’s deep and almost growling voice fits perfectly for a book that delves into the long-view destiny of man as a conqueror of the universe. Tracing humankind’s expansion into space several millennia in the future, Resnick’s novel explores the different challenges and scenarios humankind encounter as they become increasingly dispersed across the universe. The interlinked stories provide a compelling narrative akin to Asimov’s Foundation series. Weiner’s authoritative narrative voice works perfectly. He also develops some well-differentiated character voices for both males and females and maintains them consistently throughout the book.
