The author is a leading Canadian atmospheric scientist and expert on climate change. In this work, he presents many of the scientific arguments in favor of dramatic action to deal with the climate crisis. Weaver intends this audiobook to be for general listeners; no background in science is necessary. The book is more engaging than polemical because Weaver presents each argument in the context of his broad personal experience. David Skulski narrates at a good pace. While he has a strong, clear voice, listeners may find his slight lisp distracting. This is a book written by a Canadian for Canadians and may be less appealing to the many Americans who know little about our neighbor to the north.
