Narrator Natalie Ross's smooth, engaging performance lends a heartwarming feel to these stories about broken hearts and finding love in Promise, Texas. Ross's vocal adaptability offers varying degrees of Texas accents in addition to some low-toned voices for the men, including gruff-voiced Grady, who finds himself falling for Caroline, and a high pitch for Caroline's 5-year-old daughter. Ross's down-to-earth voices and conversational tone also convey the town's hospitality, which Jane, the new and single doctor in Promise, is happy to accept.
