This fast-paced adventure has a diverse vocal cast combined with realistic sound effects. Nanette Savard comes across consistently loud and clear in her no-nonsense way, and Colleen Delany, who plays archaeologist Annja Creed, employs a sarcastic yet sultry tone that makes her the perfect adventure heroine. However, the volume is not consistent throughout the production. There are times when the listener has to strain to hear the dialogue over the sound effects, particularly during the action sequences. When they're not competing with the characters' voices, the sounds enhance the story by helping to set the scene. For example, techno music plays in the background when the villains raid a nightclub. Overall, this is good escapist fun. E.E. © AudioFile 2013, Portland, Maine [Published: SEPTEMBER 2013]
