Many books have been written about each of these men individually, but rarely has there been a work that focuses on their relationship during WWII. This audiobook account fills in some needed lapses in the historical record and shows how they worked together during Britain's darkest time. Narrator Christian Rodska's voice is recorded as if giving a wartime radio address, complete with a deep tone and a grainy background sound. This lends an air of legitimacy to the book and allows us to experience it with a feeling of historical accuracy. Rodska's English accent fits the book well, though at times his pronunciation is less than crisp, and his diction a bit fuzzy. He does commit himself to character voices, and his Churchill is appropriately jowly and loose cheeked. R.I.G. © AudioFile 2014, Portland, Maine [Published: MARCH 2014]
