Anne Lamott explores the possibility of putting our lives back together "stitch by stitch" and finding peace and solace in the wake of painful circumstances. Lamott's narration of her inspirational work falls a bit flat; at times her tone lacks vocal variation. Despite this drawback, her message is down to earth and positive, imbuing her spiritual and hopeful outlook with a touch of humor and offering comfort to those who are in need. She cites personal examples from the challenges she has faced in her own life and also offers her views on taking away meaning from tragedies recently in the headlines.
