Keach, at times immensely successful in film, theater, television, and voice-overs, shares a very inside view of his life and the entertainment industry. While his life clearly has had its highs and lows, his narration is intimate and personal, but his voice is undeniably monotone. Despite his careful and thoughtful choices in phrasing, it takes focused commitment to transcend his unchanging tone and pace. However, persistence on the part of the listener is rewarded with great insights into the process of acting. Kate Reading warmly and precisely performs Alec Baldwin's heartfelt foreword. Also of note: Keach himself composed the selections of light jazz that serve as transitions. W.A.G. © AudioFile 2013, Portland, Maine [Published: NOVEMBER 2013]
