This play turned novel is a wonderful example of how a cast of narrators can work together. They move masterfully between the male and female characters, highlighting the dialogue that was essential to the story's success in theatrical form. This skill is important because much of the story is still told through conversations. The dynamic blend of male and female voices, balanced by a neutral male narrator, is easy to follow and evocative of the real-life arguments that occupy much of the story line. The intensity of the delivery matches the content, which runs the gamut of serious topics from racism to interpersonal conflict. M.R. © AudioFile 2013, Portland, Maine [Published: OCTOBER 2013]
