Edita Brychta brings freshness to this 50 Shades knockoff with her light voice and British accent. Young and gifted interior decorator Ava O’Shea heads out on a routine consultation for a new and expensive project. The client turns out to be rich, handsome, and determined to have her. She resists, he insists, love ensues. Were it not for the modern setting and erotica, the listener might suspect this novel to have been written by Jane Austen. Brychta’s performance makes the naughty narration quite nice to listen to, and the thin plot nearly unimportant. R.L.L. 2014 Audies Finalist © AudioFile 2014, Portland, Maine [Published: MARCH 2014]
