Narrator Christina Delaine adds a captivating level of drama to her performance as Grace is forced on an emotional journey that completely changes her self-perception. Although the novel's plot is somewhat predictable, Delaine gives the audiobook an enticing degree of tension mixed with a clear understanding of the characters' personalities and how they're changed by unexpected events. Listeners will find it difficult to turn off their players as Grace discovers the ugly truths of her life and must find a way to build a solid future for her young son.
