FALLEN TOO FAR Too Far, Book 1

by | Read by Jennifer Bronstein

Romantic Fiction • 6.5 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2012

When her mother and grandmother die and her long absent father marries a wealthy widow, homeless 19-year-old Blair seeks shelter with her absent parent. But her new stepbrother proves to be a distraction she hadn’t counted on. Jennifer Bronstein portrays Blair with a Southern accent meant to convey a lack of education and intelligence. Since the story is a first-person account, the speech pattern carries over to the other characters. At times, it proves distracting, particularly in the romantic interludes. While the production has earned a spot as an Erotica finalist in this year’s Audie Awards, the story belongs more properly in the romance category as both the writing and narration suit the genre. Bronstein’s light vocal tones are ideal for this unlikely love story. R.L.L. 2014 Audies Finalist © AudioFile 2014, Portland, Maine [Published: MARCH 2014]
