THE HURRICANE SISTERS

With a Southern twang, Robin Miles portrays three generations of spunky women bickering over family affairs, learning about caring for one another, revealing devastating secrets, and constantly talking about matters of the heart. Miles makes listeners laugh over and, at the same time, become frustrated with their behaviors, creating obvious biases simply in the pitch of her voice. One minute it's high, and the next minute she drops an octave. There's a wild card in her voice as the matriarch, naïveté as the young, up-and-coming painter, and a tone of propriety as the Southern belle who takes care of everyone. From time to time, Miles also uses exaggerated intonations. All these skills bring listeners into this Charleston, South Carolina, world.
