THE MATCHMAKER

Erin Bennett’s versatile narration brings out the ups and downs of this moving story about soul mates, the constancy of love, and family. Bennett inhabits the characters, showcasing their diverse personalities with a wide range of shifts in volume, tone, and accents. Her delivery also reflects the changing moods of the story, first projecting the light mood of the seemingly perfect Nantucket setting and the character of Dabney, its shining star. Bennett also succeeds at dramatizing the tension that ensues when Dabney’s soul mate—and the father of her daughter—returns to the island.
