DANGEROUS KISS

Jackie Collins brings back the plucky Lucky Santangelo and her family, racing them through more action- and sex-packed adventures involving murder, show business, and family dysfunction. Barbara Rosenblat jumps right into the story with her usual mastery of an enormous variety of characters and dialects. Her south-side London supermodel speaks with no less realism than her drugged-out punk teen. Old Italian men and lovely young children are equally convincing. Perfection of characterization aside, Rosenblat delivers an equally fine performance of the narrative passages, enabling the listener to engage fully from the first word to the last.
