MISS SWITCH TO THE RESCUE

by | Read by Jeff Woodman

Children Ages 10+ • 3.25 hrs. • Unabridged • © 1981

The adventures of Rupert P. Brown III, grade school scientist; his school pal Amelia; and the good witch Miss Switch continue in the second installment of this hilarious and popular series. Amelia is kidnapped by a warlock and taken back in time to seventeenth-century New England. So is their class. Never fear though, for Miss Switch saves the day. The humor is very appealing to kids (among many things, the class bully is given a permanent sneer by Miss Switch), who will find the characters just as appealing. Told by Rupert, this story is superbly read by Jeff Woodman, whose juvenile-sounding voice is delightful. His performance of the characters is wonderfully imaginative as he uses a wide array of intonations and accents to good effect. The narrative sections capture the wonder and excitement of Rupert at all that he and Amelia encounter. M.T.F. (c) AudioFile 2002, Portland, Maine [Published: FEB/ MAR 02]
