Dan Cashman maintains a friendly and conversational tone that creates a convincing imitation of the author himself, talking and sharing his thoughts with us. Cashman never struggles with the technical terms, but he makes no vocal change for the footnotes, which Feynman didn't write, so it causes a little confusion. The chapter about the CHALLENGER investigation is retold more completely than in a previous book, and it demonstrates the professor's skillful approach to problem-solving, a gift from his father. The book mixes science, logic, mathematics, and entertainment into an autobiography peppered with little explanations of intellectual curiosities, simply told so they all make sense. J.A.H.
